How long does a full respray take?
A full respray usually takes one to two weeks depending on the vehicle, the colour, and how much prep and panel work is needed. We strip, repair, prime, colour and clear coat, then let everything cure properly before it goes back together. We give you a realistic timeframe up front and keep you posted if anything changes.
Can you match my existing paint colour?
Yes. We colour match to your vehicle's paint code and tint by eye against the actual panel, because sun fade and age mean the code alone is rarely a perfect match. We spray out a test card first and check it against your car in natural light before we commit to the panel.
Do you paint motorbikes as well as cars?
We do. Tanks, fairings, frames and full custom bike jobs are a big part of what we do alongside cars. Bike panels need the same careful prep and a hard, chip-resistant finish, and we treat them with the same attention as a full vehicle respray.
Will the new paint match the rest of the car after a repair?
For a repair we blend the new paint into the surrounding panels so there is no hard line where old meets new. Blending into adjacent panels is the difference between a repair that disappears and one you can always spot, and it is standard on our repair work.
How long should I wait before washing the car after a respray?
Leave it about two weeks before a proper wash and avoid automatic car washes for the first month. Fresh paint keeps curing after it leaves the booth, so hand wash gently with a soft mitt and skip wax until it has fully hardened. We will talk you through aftercare when you pick up.
Do you do insurance repair work?
Yes, we handle insurance repairs and can talk you through the process. Bring the claim details and we will assess the damage, quote it properly, and liaise on the repair so your car comes back looking right, not just patched.
What paint do you use?
We use quality automotive systems including PPG, matched to the job. Good paint and the right primers and clears are what make a finish last and hold its gloss, so we do not cut corners on materials to shave a few dollars off a quote.
Can you fix rust before painting?
We do. Painting over rust just hides it while it keeps spreading underneath, so we cut it back to clean metal, treat it, and repair the panel properly before any colour goes on. If we find more once we open it up, we will call you before doing extra work.
